For so many people “the church” has become a place of intolerance or a place where they feel that they cannot be loved just as they are. Stand with us this year as we remind ourselves and remind all of those around us that God is a God of Love and a God of ALL people!
THERE IS A PLACE FOR YOU! Come Just As You Are!
“In Christ’s family there can be no division” “Among us you are ALL equal” - Galatians 3:28
Imposition of Glitter Ash available throughout the day noon-6pm.
Glitter Ash Service to include Holy Communion will be 7pm-8pm.
Wednesday, February 14th (also Valentine’s Day) we will celebrate the Day of Ashes or better known as Ash Wednesday! We will have our service that will include Holy Communion at 7pm at our ministry facility on 622 Maywood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27603. We will also be offering the imposition of ashes throughout the day starting at noon for those who cannot make it to the service in the evening.
This year we are doing things a bit differently! We will be offering the imposition of Glitter Ash! The imposition of Ash reminds of our humble beginnings and reminds us to look inward to our spirits rather than to our material possessions. To those around us, the mark of ash on our forehead is an outward physical symbol of our commitment to the Christ way of life.
We add the glitter component this year to remind us of God’s love of ALL people, regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any of the other things that have been used to try to separate us. The glitter symbolizes God’s RAINBOW people from EVERY walk of life.
