The Christmas season for most is a time to be with family, opening gifts and enjoying laughs and good times. For others though, it is a time of depression and grief as they think about the loss of loved ones or major events that occurred during the holiday season. On Wednesday, December 20, St. John’s will be having a “Blue Christmas” service in lieu of our normal Wednesday night worship experience. The purpose of this service is to recognize the loss and grief that many have experienced during the holidays and to offer a time of encouragement and inspiration. We invite you to join us and invite others come and be a source of support. Service will begin at 7 pm.
The Potter’s Hour: A Work in Progress is our mid-week worship opportunity. Though the service will have a basic structure that will include music, prayer, meditation, and communion, St. John’s wants this service to reflect those requesting a mid-week service. Therefore, the church is asking for your help to build and grow this service in a way that will be refreshing and spiritually uplifting for you. This service will start at 7:00 pm and should last no more than one hour.
