The Lenten Season Begins
“Naked Faith: Revealing Resurrection”
Lent is the season of the Christian church when followers of Christ are preparing for Holy Week and Easter. It is a time when many Christians seek to experience Jesus by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. The purpose is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ - his suffering and his sacrifice, his life, death, burial and resurrection.
In the Western world, Ash Wednesday marks the first day, or the start of the season of Lent, which begins 40 days prior to Easter (for those who are not clear, Sundays are not included in the 40-day count).
You are invited to join us Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 7 pm for our annual Ash Wednesday Service. The service will include the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion
