As part of the Wake County Drug Overdose Prevention and Tobacco Use Initiative, the nurse also works collaboratively with community organizations such as Love Wins Community Engagement Center, NC Harm Reduction Coalition outreach workers, Healing Transitions, and Certified Peer Support Specialists to identify and connect those in need with medical care and community-based resources.
