One Church, Two Styles of Worship, One People of Faith United to Serve God!
St. John’s MCC’s diverse congregation is united by our shared faith in the unconditional love of God and the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Since our members and regular attendees come from a broad spectrum of denominational backgrounds, spiritual and worship experiences, St. John’s MCC offers two worship services that are designed to meet a variety of theological and spiritual needs.
Our Joyful Morning Worship
Our Joyful Morning Worship Service offers a more traditional formalized liturgy, which includes a procession of the symbols of the Christian faith, clerical and lay vestments, choir anthems, hymns and choruses of the faith blended with contemporary Christian music, as well as the Act of Anointing for the healing of one’s mind, body and/or spirit, and an Open Communion table or Eucharist is celebrated each week for YOU at God’s table. There is a place for all God’s children.
Our Evening of Praise and Worship
Our Evening of Praise and Worship Service is a less formal, more open and expressive style of worship experience, with an emphasis on the power of praise and worship as the Holy Spirit so moves. This service also features a time of Praise and Worship during the service as well as our Praise and Worship Team, God’s Power Supply (GPS). An open Communion table is shared each week for YOU at God’s table. There is a place for all God’s children.
