The Prayer of Jabez

In addition to our Topics at Ten Class we have begun a new bible study class that allows you to think theologically/biblically how you can best live OUT loud for God this coming year. Believe it or not, the text in which we explore how to live out loud comes from just two verses. These verses are known as “The Prayer of Jabez.”

The bible study starts at 10:00 AM – after the 8:45 AM Jubilation Worship service and before the 11:00 AM Celebration Worship Service. The Prayer of Jabez not only helps you find out what it means to live out loud but enable you to find the passions that God has placed it your heart to do the work that God has been calling you to do. As with Jabez, we are learning how to have a willing spirit and a receptive heart.

The little book we use during the study is called The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson (the blue covered book). It costs less than $10 (ten dollars) and can be purchased at any Christian bookstore or online at Amazon.com. You may you may want to try Wal-Mart, Costco, and Sam’s Club in addition to Barnes & Nobles and Borders. You may also find the The Prayer of Jabez Bible Study guide helpful.
