Faith in Action Schedule

Faith In Action Kick-off Service
St. John’s MCC will officially kick-off its Faith in Action month on August 1st. Join us for a special presentation during the both our 8:45 am and 11:00 am service.
Worship Services
- Worship Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on August 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd.
- The theme of each worship service will coincide with the Faith in Action bible study theme for that week.
Bible Studies*
- Week 1 – Topic: Detour – August 8th (Sunday at 2:00 pm) & August 10th (Tuesday at 6:30 pm)
- Week 2 – Topic: Lens – August 15th (Sunday at 2:00 pm) & August 17th (Tuesday at 6:30 pm)
- Week 3 – Topic: Drop – August 22nd (Sunday at 2:00 pm) & August 24th (Tuesday at 6:30 pm)
- Week 4 – Topic: Party – August 31st (Tuesday at 6:30 pm)
*Faith in Action participant kits will be available that include FaithStep devotionals, small group
discussion questions, as well as the Faith in Action study bible of the book of the Luke.
The cost of the kits are $8.00. Please contact David Ray or Fred Cannady to order your participant kit.
Faith in Action Sunday – August 29th
The Church has left the building!
- 10:00 a.m.: Worship service at Moore Square.
- 11:00 a.m. (Approx.): Faith in Action service projects. We will split into teams for a day of community service. Please see the sign up sheet for times and locations of each project.
- 7:00 p.m.: Sharing Session and Praise & Worship. After a day of service, we will meet at St. John’s MCC for a time of sharing followed praise and worship as our way of thanking God for allowing us to help others in the community. Special musical guest: Rev. Delores P. Berry
Join us as we discover ways that we, as followers of Christ,
can put our faith into action on a daily basis.
