A Letter of Personal Encouragement to You
while on Your Journey of Recovery
from the people of St. John’s MCC
Dear Friend,
We are so very proud of you! You have taken a major step in a journey toward wholeness. We encourage you to continue.
When we smile and greet you warmly as we see you come and go from your meetings, please know how deeply genuine those feelings are toward you. We realize that others may cast shame and guilt on you, but you will not find that here. This is a safe space for you.
We know that the struggle away from your addictions and compulsions is difficult. We hope you will soon find that your growth and new strength has been worth the effort. We hope you will soon feel personally empowered to meet everything that life throws against you and that your inner peace will emerge and prevail.
When we can help in your efforts, we will try our very best. Most of us have been (or still are) where you are in one way or another. We understand.
Our blessings to you!
