Triangle Gay Mens Chorus Holiday Concert
“Velvet Ribbons”
A Holiday Celebration
Sunday, December 6, 2009 Durham
Saturday December 12, 2009 Raleigh
The Triangle Gay Mens Chorus will ring in the Holidays with “Velvet Ribbons,” a multicultural smorgasbord of warm musical treats with a Southwestern twist on December 6 and 12, 2009.
A portion of the proceeds from these concerts will benefit the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
We are introducing new discounted ticket prices as well as Premium Seating with these performances.
We will present “Velvet Ribbons” on Sunday afternoon, December 6 at 3pm at First Presbyterian Church, 305 East Main Street in Durham.
Our second performance will be on Saturday evening, December 12 at 8pm, at Fellowship Hall, located at 3313 Wade Avenue in Raleigh.
The first half of the musical program will feature Conrad Susa’s “Carols and Lullabies – Christmas in the Southwest.” The composer describes the work as “A collection of traditional Spanish carols, with their artful simplicity, juggled into a narrative with an overriding image of a Southwestern piñata party.”
In the second half of the program, we’ll mix things up with holiday music of various styles, including the touching pop favorite “Hard Candy Christmas.”
Adult general admission tickets are $12.00 in advance, or $15.00 at the door. We’ve also lowered our online ticketing charge to just $1.
Advance tickets can be purchased online at tickets.tgmchorus.org or from TGMC members.
