Preparing for Faith in Action 2011
Don’t just go to church – BE the church!
We’re a little less than 1 week until Faith in Action Sunday! On Sunday, October 30th, St. John’s will combine it’s regularly scheduled morning services into a 10:00 a.m. worship experience. Worship will be held off-site in downtown Raleigh near Moore Square. This is our time to reach out to those living in and around Moore Square and share the Good News with them that God does love them, no matter what situation they may be in.
Immediately following worship, we will split into small teams to perform a variety of volunteer projects. The projects this year include:
- Health Screenings
- Adopt-A-Highway
- Landscaping/Minor home repairs
- Assembling Hygiene Kits (Approximately 300)
- Assembling Snack Bags (Approximately 300)
After a day of giving back to the community, you are invited to join us back at church at 6:30 p.m. for a time for fellowship and sharing.
On Sunday, October 23, you will have the opportunity to sign up for the project of your choice. If you will be unable to join us for worship on the 23rd, simply send Fred Cannady an e-mail letting him know what project you are interested in being a part of.
We hope that you will join us on October 30th as we put our faith in action!

Faith in Action Bible Study
St. John’s is offering a special Bible Study to go along with Faith in Action. The book for this study will be The Blessed Life by Robert Morris. The study is offered on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 pm and Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm. Books are available through the Church Office for $16.
