SHARE A BEAR FOR CHRISTMAS: St. John’s is currently collecting stuffed Teddy Bears for the Share-A-Bear Foundation. The donated bears will be given to children impacted by the HIV / AIDS Virus. Please place your bears in the gift box at the front of the Sanctuary.
As Christmas Day is on a Sunday this year, St. John’s MCC will be offering lunch to those individuals who would like to join us after service on December 25th. There is no cost for the lunch. DAY OF FASTING AND PRAYER: St. John’s MCC would like to invite you to set aside Saturday, December 31st as a Day of Fasting and Prayer. Use this day as an opportunity to be in communion with God to reflect on 2011 and to dream about 2012.
IMANI MCC WATCH NIGHT SERVICE: After a day of reflection, you are invited to join Imani MCC for their annual Watch Night Service. The service is from 10:30 pm to 12:00 am on the night of Saturday, December 31st. Imani MCC’s service will be held at 304 East Trinity Avenue in Durham. CONGRATULATIONS: St. John’s MCC would like to congratulate all of those who have recently completed their educational requirements for graduation and certification: Rev. Wanda Floyd, Collis Laton, and Cindy Norton.
HOLIDAY SERVICE SCHEDULE: On December 24th, there will be 2 services: 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm. The early service will have a special time for the children.
• On Sunday, December 25th, there will be one service held at 11:00 am.
• On Sunday, January 1st, there will be one service held at 11:00 am.

CHURCH OFFICE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE: The Church Office will be closed on Monday, December 26th, and Tuesday, December 27th, as well as, Monday, January 2nd, and Tuesday, January 3rd. In case of an emergency during any of these days, please leave a message in the general voice mail box as it will be checked throughout the holidays.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH: Children Church is held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month during the 11:00 am Service. In addition, there will be monthly interest / planning meetings on the 2nd Sunday of each month after the 11:00 Service. The children meet in the Friendship Hall before service and will rejoin their parents right before Communion.
