50 Marchers for Pride!
Our goal is to have 50 marchers represent St. John’s during the parade. You can ride on the float or walk along next to it. If you are interested in participating, there are sign-up sheets at both entrances to the church.
Pride Worship on Sunday
We are honored to have the Rev. Dr. Cheryl Kirk-Duggan, a distinguished professor at a local university, as our guest. She will preach at both services on Pride Sunday.
Pride Potluck Luncheon
The Fellowship Ministry is planning the Pride Potluck Luncheon. They are looking for volunteers to bring items to the luncheon. In addition, they need assistance before and after the lunch in setting up and tearing down. To volunteer or for more information, please contact Scott Driver.
Gospel Drag Show
The Annual Pride Gospel Drag Show will be held on Sunday Night (September 25th) at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. Please note that this year’s show is not a competition but an actual drag show. All tips raised by the performers will benefit the ministries of St. John’s. We are looking for people to assist during the event. If you would like to be a contestant or volunteer for the show, please contact Fred Cannady.
We are asking each member, regular attendee, and friend of St. John’s MCC to prayerfully consider your individual level of participation in this drive and make your gift by the end of March 2012. Please click here for more information.
