On Sunday night, August 2nd, Canaan came from Florida to bring St. John’s MCC a treat.

Right after the concert, Gerry Blood said, “Sunday evening’s special Canaan Band Concert was truly inspirational, a really WOW, awesome experience. This five-piece band played non-stop for over two hours of foot stomping, hand clapping, soul moving, inspired music mostly written by the band themselves. With songs ranging from “Walk through the Fire” to “The Sinner’s Prayer” to “Blessed” to “Shine” along with many more, the Canaan Band preached a powerful message of God’s love for all people. The LGBT community should be very proud of the Canaan Band with their dedication and God-inspired music. Again, all I can say is ‘WOW! You guys are awesome! Please come back to Raleigh real soon!’”

If you know Gerry, you’ll see him in the crowd, moving with the music and the Spirit of God that the members of Canaan brought with them.
