It’s Time to Go Bowling Again!

Senior Pastor BRev Terri SteedEverybody knows just how much our Senior Pastor loves bowling. Our Revival guest speaker, Terri Steed, has been known to roll a ball or two as well. This Saturday, June 19th, we’re going to find out just how much fun a bowling party with all of Pastor B’s and Pastor Terri’s friends can be! The Party will be at the AMF Pleasant Valley Lanes from 1:00 until 3:00.

If you have not purchased a ticket for the bowling event, you can still join us. There is no cost if you are not planning to bowl. If you would like to bowl, the cost is $5.50 per game (each game approximately 15 minutes) and $4.50 for shoe rental.

BowlerThe AMF Pleasant Valley Lanes are at 5501 Commercial Avenue in Raleigh. That is close to the intersections of Glenwood Avenue with Duraleigh and Millbrook Roads. Click here for a Google map and directions.

Even if you don’t bowl, this is going to be one of the most fun events of the summer. Come and share in the friendship and fun. But, if you’re a bowler, let’s see what you’ve got!

Click here to add the Party to your Outlook calendar. See you there!

Spring Clean Yard Sale is April 17th!

Spring Clean Yard Sale

So you’re cleaning your closets and storage areas of all of the STUFF that got there over the winter. Or maybe you’ve got Fall and Winter STUFF that you don’t have room to keep. Don’t throw it out! If it is still in reasonable condition, it could become someone else’s treasure.

Contribute it to the St. John’s MCC Spring Clean Yard Sale before Friday, April 16th. AppliancesThe Fellowship Team will get everything ready – with the help of lots of volunteers – and then all that STUFF will come out to the front yard of the house next door to the church early on Saturday, April 17th.

ChairWe are in need of donations from you. We are accepting items in good condition including furniture, books, CDs, shoes, videos, DVDs, electronics, coats, accessories, crafts, and most importantly clothes. Yes, this year we are accepting clothing in all sizes and styles from childrens’ to mens’ to womens’ as long as they are in good condition and clean. No undergarments please!

Please email Scott Driver or Tara Marten to set up a time to drop off your items or bring them with you on Sunday to drop off before or after service. You can also call the church office at 919-834-2611 to arrange a drop off time. All donations are tax deductible.

HatYou can bring items as early as Sunday, March 28th. Get Scott or Tara’s attention, and they can be stored in the house until the big day.

All proceeds from the Yard Sale will benefit the ministries of St. John’s MCC. For questions about what you should bring, when you should bring items, and/or to volunteer to help with this year’s Sale, please contact Scott Driver or Tara Martin.

Thanks for your help!
