Love is a Choice Study to continue on April 24th

loveisachoicebookThe Love is a Choice book study sponsored by the Koinonia Women’s Ministry has been a big success so far. We started with close to 20 people attending the first meeting and the numbers have varied at each meeting. Since the start of the study we have truly created a safe space for individuals look within, learn, grow and start letting go of unhealthy relationships.

We have been meeting every other Friday at 7 pm in the downstairs classroom. In each meeting we look, as a group, at chapters from the Love is a Choice workbook and work through issues, ideas and new concepts together. People share only what they are comfortable with sharing and all offer support.

As of the end of the last meeting we finished the first seven chapters of the workbook - Part One: The Causes of Codependency. We are breaking for Easter and will meet again Friday, April 24 at 7 pm in the downstairs classroom. We will resume our study with Part Two: The Ten Stages of Recovery. Our goal at the next meeting is to work through chapter eight: Exploration and Discovery.

If you picked up copies of the books for the study and have been unable to attend, read through the first seven chapters of the workbook and rejoin us on the 24th. If you have not joined us yet, feel free to jump in. Contact Tara Marten, the study leader, if you have any questions. We still have a few copies of the books available. The study is open to all who are interested. We hope to see you at our next meeting.
