A Holy Conversation about Suicide

Suicide. It is NOT the only way out. This Wednesday night, November 17th at 7:00, St. John’s MCC will engage in a conversation about Suicide. We all feel sad when we hear that another one of God’s children has chosen to take his or her own life – especially when it is the result of bullying, discrimination, and despair. Most of us have experienced emotions that could have pushed us toward that edge. Sometimes, the pain of living seems too great to endure.

If you have ever considered taking your own life or if you have ever made an unsuccessful attempt at doing so, we invite you to join us this Wednesday night at 7:00. If you remember a loved one who has taken his or her own life, please join us. If you are concerned about suicide and all its ramifications for those of us who are left behind, we hope you will join us for a Holy Conversation about Suicide.

Our series of open discussions on various different spiritual concerns, convened by Worth Lancaster and Richard Haas that is entitled “Holy Conversations at St. John’s,” continues in one of the downstairs classrooms this Wednesday night at 7:00. Please join us.

Bring your burning questions for future discussions.
