Country Gospel Singer Ray Vester to Perform
| Events - Worship Events |
“I’m just coming to praise the Lord!” says country gospel singer Ray Vester.
“Some people call these things ‘Concerts,’” Ray explains, because they are enjoyable and entertaining, “but I’m a little uneasy about that. They are more like praise services with the Lord present in every way.”
Ray Vester began singing solo concerts six years ago. About the same time, he began coming to St. John’s MCC and has called St. John’s his spiritual home ever since. His God-given talent earned him a recording contract with the Vision Quest Music Group label. His Spirit-loving fans earned him a number one hit on the Christian Country Gospel national chart in December 2008, which remains on the chart to this day.
Just like for the rest of us, Ray has endured a number of difficulties in recent years. He underwent surgery six months ago – curtailing his singing opportunities for a time. But he is back and even more inspired.
To celebrate God’s rich gifts, Ray will present his “Six-Year Anniversary Celebration” on Saturday evening, May 16, at 7:00 pm. He’s also calling it a “Hawaiian Luau,” since it will feature light hors d’œuvres and door prizes. Admission is free. He will sing his hit, “It’s All Good,” along with other fan favorites. Here’s a sneak peak:
You can learn more about Ray at his website, but don’t miss this opportunity to praise God through him.
